Pacific Coast Highway – Day 21
Day 21 was a long and winding day up the Pacific Coast Highway through Big Sur. The icy rolling fog surprised us at first, but turned into a very beautiful drive. A number of pull off stops for hiking and photos including noisy elephant seals, Julia Pfeiffer Burns park, McWay Falls, and Bixby Bridge. The rocky coast and crisp air gave a sense of mystery and wonder. It was calm and quiet and breathtaking. I definitely wouldn’t mind visiting again on a warm, sunny day, but it was kind of a special view of the famous PCH for us.
^^^Foggy drive for miles and miles. Yeah, we tried the top down. For like a minute.
^^^McWay Falls (maybe hard to tell here, but the waterfall is about 60 ft. tall!)
